About Cornish Soccer Skills

Cornish Soccer Skills was set up by Marcus Smith to help local children improve their football skills and knowledge of the game, make new friends, keep fit, and most importantly of all - have lots of FUN!

Marcus began coaching in 2001 at the age of just 16. After coaching in New Jersey, USA for UK Elite Soccer, he became a community coach at local schools and colleges before coaching for Arsenal Soccer Schools across Cornwall from 2006 - 2007. He formed Cornish Soccer Skills in 2008.

As well as managing and coaching the Helston U10's youth
football team, Marcus plays for Illogan FC, having previously played at Penzance FC, where he grabbed the headlines in local and regional newspapers such as The Cornishman and West Briton.

In July 2008, Marcus became a south west regional scout for Cardiff City FC.
